Anthony Rendon finally got his 1st RBI tonight in his 5th game. He isn't hitting the ball well yet this season.
On the other hand, Mikie Mahtook, the CF for LSU is crushing the ball. He has 4 HR's and a 2B in his first 12 AB's.

Matt Barnes K'd 11 in 6 IP while walking 3 and giving up 3 hits. Alex Meyer K'd 13 in 7 IP while walking only 3.
Taylor Jungmann K'd 9 in a 9 inning shutout and Gerrit Cole K'd 11 in his version.
Matt Purke only went 4 IP and K'd 3. He is being eased in and he had a blister. His next start will be pushed back to sunday.
Other than Mahtook, the hitters aren't starting off too hot. It should be a pitching dominated season with the BBCOR bats, but Mahtook proves it doesn't have to be.
