Nick Noonan

Perhaps no draftee is off to a better start than Nick Noonan, who went 32nd overall to San Francisco. Granted, it's a small sample size, but this HS middle infielder from California seems like he could be a real player.

For the AZL Giants:

10-34 (.382), 2 2B, 2 3B, 2 HR, 11 RBI, 10 R, 2/3 SB, 2 BB and only 1 K. I especially like to see the 1 K in 34 AB.

I followed the draft pretty closely, and didn't remember hearing his name come up THAT often. Keith Law had Noonan as around the 25th best player in the draft - 15-20 spots higher than BA. I think Goldstein had him around 31st best.

I took Noonan in the 4th round of a recent 14 team (5 round) draft consisting only of 2007 picks - I really liked the reports on him, and thought he could be a steal in round 4.

Anyone else intrigued by him?
