Ranks these talents

I have the following 11 minor leaguers and should only protect 5-6.  A simple ranking is appreciated and any comments will be more than welcome.  Not necessarily considering WHEN they will land in the show, but more or less their odds of being solid contributors once established.

Thanks in advance.

Minor League SP's

I'm looking for a ranking of these minor league starters that I've picked up on my Scoresheet roster.  Pardon the fantasy-ish subject of this post, but I'm trying to decide if all of these guys should be kept.  I'm leaning toward keeping the top 6.

My rankings are below, however, please rank how you view these arms.  Consider highest ceiling, more immediate impact to their respective teams and most consistent performer for the forseeable future.

  1. Fe. Hernandez
  2. Fr. Liriano
  3. Du. McGowan
  4. Jo. Zumaya
  5. Th. Diamond
  6. Je. Niemann
  7. J.D. Durbin
  8. Jo. Maine
All differences of opinion welcome and I've found John's site the best when it comes to sharing information on minor league talent.

Thanks in advance.

3B Prospects--NL

Of the following 3B prospects, how would you rank them based on the following criteria:

  1.  Closest to landing and sticking in the show?
  2.  Highest ceiling?
  3.  Best chance to make an impact for his team?
  4.  Overall ranking 1-4
Andy LaRoche
Edwin Encarnacion
Ian Stewart
Ryan Zimmerman

I would suspect Encarnacion is the closest to landing a starting role, especially with the potential trade of Randa.  Following him by my guess would be Zimmerman, LaRoche and finally Stewart.  Am I off base?

I'm not as familiar with Encarnacion or Zimmerman as I am with the other two.  I would think that LaRoche may force LA's hand if he has a solid second half.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

BS

Fernando Nieve

Can anyone share information on Houston's Fernando Nieve?  What type of starter should we expect (#1-5)?  His ratios in the minors have been impressive, though I know little about him other than that.

Houston recently promoted Nieve to AAA and he's expected to be called up to the parent club by September.  With Astacio receiving much of the attention in Houston, could Nieve be considered a sleeper?

Thanks in advance.

Minor league draft

Scoresheet AL-only keeper league drafting the final stages.  I have 3 picks remaining.  I've built a pretty solid team with a good group of young players.

Halladay
Bedard
Ch. Young
Cl. Lee
Haren
Kazmir
*Felix Hernandez
*Br. McCarthy
*Niemann
*McGowan

Hitters:

Morneau
Ortiz
Renteria
Blalock
Vern. Wells
Suzuki
Rios
*Del. Young

Question:  I'm considering the following players and am torn on who to draft:

*Pedroia
*Fr. Lirano
*Diamond
*Danks
*An. Sanchez
*Lester
*Br. Wood

I can protect 15 players and unlimited rookies.  Less than 25 IP or 70 AB's constitute rookie status at season's end.  I'm afraid Pedroia and possibly Liriano might lose their rookie eligibility

Aall thoughts appreciated.

Thanks,

Bob

Diamond vs Liriano and others

How would you guys rank the following elite minor league arms?  I'm learning more about Liriano thru John's site and my own research, but wouuld love to know more.  With a minor league draft upcoming (Scoresheet), I'd be interested to hear opinions.  I currently own Felix, Niemann, Durbin, Maine and McGowan, and would like to add a potential # 1 caliber arm to the mix.

Diamond, TEX
Liriano, MIN
Lester, BOS
Sowers, CLE
Sanchez, BOS

Many Thanks,

Bob
