Steve Pearce has missed the past 2 games for the Indianapolis Indians.  Anyone know what's going on?

Has he answered his critics yet?  His numbers so far might not jump off the page, but the kid is 21 years old and playing in AAA.  He's improved his K/BB ratio significantly and right now he has no protection thanks to Walker's dismal season.  I'm going out on a limb here and saying he is the #1 lead-off hitter prospect in baseball.  Any thoughts?
