Love Phils First Two Picks
I think the Phils were kinda shocked and pleasantly surprised that they were able to get both Hewitt and Collier with their first two picks, Hewitt in the first and Collier with their supplemental pick. I think they would have been thrilled to get either one, but they somehow lucked out and got both, who they targeted early (Hewitt was tried out at Citizens Bank Park and tried at third and looked very good and comfortable there, and he also smashed several balls into the seats! Both have five tool ability with very high ceilings, although both are probably at least 3 years away from the majors. They also picked up little strong armed HS lefty Andrew Gose with their third pick, and he brings it up to 97 MPH------but needs to improve his secondary pitches------he also plays CF and has outstanding speed but needs more bat to succeed there. All in all, so far I think its a great draft for the Phils-------their scouts and management are VERY excited with their early haul in this draft.

Headley Time????
With the current disastrous state of the Pads outfield, coupled with their current poor play lately, I think it's gotta be Headley time!!! After a slow start when he was sent down, he's been hot the past two weeks, hitting over .500, (5 for 5 yesterday), so personally I'm more than ready to activate him on my fantasy team and hopefully watch him rake. If they believe he's at the point where he can be at least average in the OF, I think they know that his bat's ready to make things happen and hopefully make a difference in their lineup---BRING HIM UP NOW!!

What's Up With Franklin Morales???
This kid is currently ranked in BA's Top 10 prospects, had a real nice first season last year, especially the last month or so, but now it seems like he's lost it. His FB is now topping out at about 88, which is alarming since he was low-mid 90's consistently last year----and he's walking a lot of hitters. He also had a very poor spring. . I just picked him up off the waiver wire hoping he would soon turn things around and I would have perhaps a stud young pitcher, but he had another poor performance tonight against the hapless Giants offense. Anyone have any thoughts as to where he might go from here------can he find what's currently missing and become the stud that BA predicted him to be---and at least get back to where he was last year? This is puzzling unless he is hurting without telling anyone.

Jiminez vs Morales------Where are they now and where are they going?
These guys both have big arms and showed what they could do last year in Sept and October when they both performed very well, especially for young guys in big games!! Now they both seem to be struggling and are at a much different place in their development and there is obvious concern----is there a serious problem or are these just typical growing pains----Morales seems to have lost some velocity but apparently just recently regained most of it, and Jiminez just cant seem to find any consistent control. The Rockies future could litererally depend on how well these two young pitchers perform. Any thoughts??

Any Love For Bill Bray??
I know Bray is not a big name guy, but I'm intrigued by him as a potential future closer. I recall that he was the nations top closer in college (some Virginia school I believe), and he was the key guy in the Reds-Nats trade involving Kearns and Lopez. The Reds really insisted on him being in this deal to make it work. He's been hurt, but I've seen him throw and I like his stuff and makeup, when healthy. Does anyone see upside potential for Bray and could he be a surprise for the Reds this year, perhaps winning that set up job?
