MOD: Rockies

My thoughts heading into this... I'll try to go about the Rockies strategy as well as pick the best player I feel is left on the board. The Rockies have always drafted a mix of high school/college players in the first round and haven't really favored one or the other so I'll be doing the same. Anyways, on to the good stuff. As of now I'm looking at Josh Vitters, Mike Moustakas, Daniel Moskos, Ross Detwiler, and Jason Heyward for the Rockies first pick in the draft. At this point I'm not leaning towards any one of them. I figure two or three will at least be off the board at that point so that will narrow the list down.

As for the second round... again what's the best available. I might go high schooler in the second round. I'll list players later on as to who I'm considering at in each round. The Rockies have the 8th, 73rd, 103rd, 133rd, and the 163rd picks in the draft. Any suggestions would be nice.

2007 MLB Draft Order

Congratulations to MLB for fixing the draft. It looks better than it ever has...

Before round two even begins... the Devil Rays, Royals, Pirates, Brewers, and Rockies each have only one pick. The Texas Rangers and San Fransisco Giants each have five picks. The real winner though is the San Diego Padres. The Padres have the possibility of acquiring eight picks before the second round even begins. Congratulations to Kevin Towers for exploiting the system by telling your players not to accept arbitration.

I guess small market teams can find other ways to improve their team.
