Mock Draft/Real Draft Comparison: Yankees
Mock Draft/Real Draft Comparison: Yankees
MOCK DRAFT
- Andrew Brackman, RHP, NC State
- Barry Enright, RHP, Pepperdine (2nd round to Arizona in real draft)
- Tyler Martin, RHP, Louisiana HS (not selected in real draft)
- Rick Hague, SS, Texas HS (37th round in real draft)
- Pat Venditte, LHP/RHP, Creighton (45th round by Yankees in real draft)
- Andrew Brackman, RHP, NC State
- Austin Romine, C, California HS (4th round to Pirates in mock draft)
- Ryan Pope, RHP, Savannah College of Art and Design (not selected in mock draft)
- Brad Suttle, 3B, Texas (supplemental round to Dodgers in mock draft)
- Adam Olbrychowski, RHP, Pepperdine (not selected in mock draft)
Same first round pick, which is intriguing. The Mock draft has a higher upside with the third and fourth round guys who dropped due to signability in real life. Suttle was more popular in the mock draft than in the real draft apparently. Which class would you rather have? If the Mock guys are signable (and the Yankees have the money to do it) that's quite attractive, but on the other hand I like both Pope and Suttle, too.

most importantly are the signability guys
RHP Chris Carpenter
RHP Greg Peavey
SS Carmen Angelini
RHP Gregory Holle
C Chase Weems
and several others. Most of which have already shown willingness to sign. This could be an incredible draft for the Yankees system if they flex their financial muscles. Already two of the tougher signs have inked in Manny Barreda and Justin Snyder
