I don't think that John's cheesecake posts are intended to recognize the beauty of every type of woman in the world. I sorta thought he may just post women that he finds attractive. He may find caucasian women to be the most attractive. I tend to as well. That doesn't mean that others aren't attractive to other people, but I think suggesting that John ought to do so to avoid seeming to be "eurocentric" is pretty silly.

What should he do, track the race of his cheesecake posts and make sure that every third one is non-caucasian to avoid the appearance of eurocentrism? I thought they were supposed to be fun, not political.

I hadn't thought about the ethnic composition of cheesecake posts, lol....personally I find redheads hottest of all, but for some reason I haven't posted many redhead pics. There was not deliberate pattern about it.

I'm of Arab/Palestinian descent myself, so this is hardly a racial bias thing on my part.

You don't have to explain your personal preferences to anyone here. If somebody wants to play the race card, let him. It reveals more of their character than of yours. You're not hurting anyone and whenever someone tries to inject race into something as trivial as this, it just cheapens the real struggles people of color have to deal with. Anorexia?

At the risk of imposing a personal issue on this thread that was intended by John to be some harmless fun, I am concerned at the continued idolizing of women who are thirty pounds underweight... not because it is disrespectful to them so much as it enhances the idea that women with nothing but bones and boobs are the target for which young girls should shoot.

Veronica is a major example... look at her arms and shoulders, there is absolutely no flesh there. The camera may treat her kindly, but that's no way for real people to look. I spent part of my career (I'm a retired psychologist) trying with very limited success to work with teenage girls who used pictures like this as their "ultimate goal".

We don't have to go all the way to Rubens in reaction to this skinny-crush thing, but how about eliminating the most emaciated of these women as objects of our drooling?

well personally I think fashion models are often too thin...I prefer women with CURVES. Mae West would be a good example. A lot of the cheesecakes have been thinner women but it wasn't intentional. Next time I will see if I can find a curvier one. For some reason, most internet images of beautiful and CURVY women tend to be completely unclothed, which of course I can't post.
