PrintThought I'd post my own league's draft results, since I found Crimson's interesting and would be interested in comments and observations. Also, this may provide some insight into my recent pimping of certain prospects for certain community lists. (See if you can guess who I am.)
The league is 16 teams, 40 man rosters + 25 minors, and uses a contract system - so we're not just keeping these guys forever, we have them for 3 years and then can take them to arbitration for 1-7 more at varying prices, that kind of deal. Makes guys closer to the majors somewhat more valuable.
Players eligible were guys from this year's real draft, plus guys who hadn't signed by last year's version of the league's draft (Upton, Pelfrey), plus anybody who wasn't already owned. Signed players only, so no Scherzer, draft-and-follows, etc.

Do you have a website host your league, and if so - do you like it? What are the perks, etc?
Thanks - interesting draft. Eric Young, Jr. was the best "steal" of the draft....
nope.
it's all custom. the co-commissioners built v1 this year - it ended up running mostly on messageboards and excel, they never quite finished... i'm a programmer myself, and i built an analysis toy that's metastasized into the new site for the whole league, or it will have as soon as i whip it into shape this weekend.
so, no helpful advice, sorry.
EY2 - yeah, that was a pretty good pick, i thought...

I was a little surprised to see Kershaw go behind Morrow and Lincoln. Also that Upton went behing the same two pitchers... I would have ranked Upton a tad bit higher

there is the whole time-to-the-majors issue, which is more of a factor in this league than some others.
but still.

what is the deal with jeremy papelbon going 24th overall? major overdraft for a short season middle reliever.
