Here At LAST!!!

Well Lastings Miledge has finally made his debut yesterday, goin 1 for 4 with a double. Pretty decent for opening day, but it is just opening day. Well I was just wondering whether it was true or not that his character issues indeed killed his draft stock when he was drafted by the Mets? Also, is it true that he already acts as God's Faviorate child and does what he wants, even arriving late to practices and games during spring training? Also, maybe its just me, but he is currently wearing the number 44. Does he get to choose this number or is it just randomly given? Maybe he is implying that he can play as well as Willie Mays did during his day(Mays also wore 44 with the Mets at the end of his career) Is it coincidence or not?

No idea on the specific of his actions but hes been a baseball star his whole life and knew all the way through HS this game would make him his cash so im hardly surprised a kid that IS the shit would not be keenly aware of exactly how awesome he is and would make sure that everyone around him knew how sweel he was too

I follow the mets in a greater depth than I probably should, and I have never heard of these prima donna activities. All quotations say that he is a good kid with a solid head on his shoulders. People rave about his work ethic and compare him favorably in that regard to David Wright. His father is a retired state trooper and travels with his mom to all his games in a RV to give support and look out for him.
The reported sexual misconduct did cause his draft status to fall, but he was never charged and the mets did a full investigation before signing him. I believe reports were that when he was sixteen, he received oral sex from a 14 year old, and being a current high schooler, while illegal, that behavior does not sound all that unusual, especially for a star athlete.

Gun
He had a nice assist from right last night.  Gunned a man at third with no bounce, right to Wright.
