Who is the Best of . . .

the Twins Fort Myers Miracle starting pitching staff -- Anthony Swarzak, Matt Garza, Kevin Slowey, Kyle Aselton, or John Thomas?  Swarzak, Slowey and Garza get all the press as prospects, yet even Aselton and Thomas' stats are tremendous.  I know nothing of the latter two and I'm also wondering what the league and park effects do to their numbers in general.  Is it a pitching league?  Hitting league?

The numbers are astounding, what's the reason?  And who is most likely to continue to post such numbers?

swarzak is struggling.
he struggled in HIGH A ball late last year, and this year.

So i dunno what is up with him really...

Twins are better off drafting college pitchers lately it seems ( garza, slowey, perkins, Harben * i think was college*, duensing, mullins.

waldrop and swarzak not really doing great yet thats forsure...morlan is becomign a great closer prospect.. but who knows.

pitchers
Potentially, Garza, Swarzak and Slowey are all big league starters (probably 2s and 3s). Aselton is another college guy from the 2004 draft. In my opinion, his big league future is in the bullpen as long as he can maintain control of his pitches. John Thomas should do well in the league. He spent all of 2005 at AA New Britain (with the exception of one AAA start).

Fort Myers Staff
I go to many of the Miracle games and while the result is pretty much the same Garza and Slowey are different pitchers. I posted yesterday on my blog comparing Garza and Slowey. http://fortmyersmiraclebaseball.blogspot.com/ . I like Garza better because he throws harder but in reality it is a tossup right now. Brian
