Zimmerman to Nats as expected.

Now it will start to get interesting. Brewers??

braun
Braun to the Brewers. I like him a lot.

by John Sickels on Jun 7, 2005 1:20 PM EDT reply actions

romero
Romero to Jays, Tulowitzki to the Rockies. Not Hochevar! How low will the Boras guys go??

by John Sickels on Jun 7, 2005 1:21 PM EDT reply actions

pelfrey
Pelfrey to the Mets, the first Boras guy. Townsend to Tampa Bay. Some risk due to his holdout but good upside.

Toolsy outfielders make a run, Maybin, McCutchen, Bruce to the Tigers, Pirates, and Reds.

snyder
Snyder goes to the Orioles. Sorry Angels Mock Drafters!! :)

Snyder may be my favorite high school hitter this year.

BA is getting everything exactly
Got my nats tickets. Lousy Seats: opening night(D'backs), 5/14(Cubs). Good Seats: 6/2(Braves), 6/9(A's), 7/5(Mets)

by natsfan2005 @ Minor League Ball on Jun 7, 2005 1:26 PM EDT reply actions

BA
Yep. BA knows their stuff. Excellent predictions.

by John Sickels on Jun 7, 2005 1:26 PM EDT reply actions

Definitely some surprises so far
Maybe the Yankees will end Hochevar's slide

by mtk52983 on Jun 7, 2005 1:28 PM EDT reply actions

broad
Broadway to the White Sox. I like him but I think this is a slight overdraft. I know he's pitching great right now but his rise seems overhyped to me.

by John Sickels on Jun 7, 2005 1:28 PM EDT reply actions

volstad
first HS pitcher to the Marlins, home state guy in Volstad.

Yanks get C.J. Henry. Great athleticism but risky.

by John Sickels on Jun 7, 2005 1:29 PM EDT reply actions

BA
BA is right on for 17 picks.  That is incredible acurate.  They are on.

by Tyler on Jun 7, 2005 1:29 PM EDT reply actions

carillo
Carillo to Padres. Should rise rapidly, nice combo with STauffer.

by John Sickels on Jun 7, 2005 1:30 PM EDT reply actions

BA
Has almost made this boring

by irwin @ Minor League Ball on Jun 7, 2005 1:30 PM EDT reply actions

rangers
Rangers grab Mayberry. First MAJOR surprise in my opinion.

by John Sickels on Jun 7, 2005 1:31 PM EDT reply actions

A's
now@!

by ohad @ Minor League Ball on Jun 7, 2005 1:31 PM EDT reply actions

Mayberry
Why is Mayberry such a surprise?

by jrbro on Jun 7, 2005 1:32 PM EDT reply actions

mayberry
I think he's five picks too high. just my opinion.

pennington to Oakland.

BA needs some serious kudos.

by John Sickels on Jun 7, 2005 1:33 PM EDT reply actions

re: mayberry
you can't exactly trade down like the NFL. So as long as your only overdrafting by 5-8 slots rather than 20 slots I think its fine.

BA
Is what, 21 for 21?

by ohad @ Minor League Ball on Jun 7, 2005 1:33 PM EDT reply actions

pawalek
Pawalek to Cubs. Typical high school risk but great upside.

by John Sickels on Jun 7, 2005 1:33 PM EDT reply actions

BA
BA is en fuego!

by Ur on Jun 7, 2005 1:34 PM EDT reply actions

ell
Ellsbury to Boston. Moneyball/stathead pick.

by John Sickels on Jun 7, 2005 1:34 PM EDT reply actions

ba's streak ended at 18
Which is totally ridiculous. Best mock draft I've ever seen for any sport.

by adesai on Jun 7, 2005 1:34 PM EDT reply actions

Aaron Thompson
Wow, i just got what, 30 extra points for that pick of Thompson?

by ohad @ Minor League Ball on Jun 7, 2005 1:35 PM EDT reply actions

I am still shocked to see Hansen and Hochevar
Still there.  Teams are stupid for letting them slide this far

by mtk52983 on Jun 7, 2005 1:35 PM EDT reply actions

Not bragging
I'm just extremely amazed.

by ohad @ Minor League Ball on Jun 7, 2005 1:35 PM EDT reply actions

garza
Garza to the Twins. I like Torra better.

by John Sickels on Jun 7, 2005 1:35 PM EDT reply actions

Boras
How low will his guys go.

by Tyler on Jun 7, 2005 1:36 PM EDT reply actions

Holly Crap
Whoever drafted Garza at 79 just got 50 bonus points!

by ohad @ Minor League Ball on Jun 7, 2005 1:36 PM EDT reply actions

WOW
Calling Hasen at 26 is a money call.  That's amazing.

by Tyler on Jun 7, 2005 1:36 PM EDT reply actions

hansen
Hansen to the Red Sox. another boras guy off the board.

devine to the Braves. a mild surprise.

by John Sickels on Jun 7, 2005 1:36 PM EDT reply actions

Nice move by the Braves
Just what the doctor ordered for that team.

by mrkupe on Jun 7, 2005 1:37 PM EDT reply actions

Yeah...
But only if he makes the team this year, right?

by boisvert42 on Jun 7, 2005 1:57 PM EDT up reply actions

Cards buck college history with Rasmus. Interesting.

by John Sickels on Jun 7, 2005 1:37 PM EDT reply actions

by sdangler on Jun 7, 2005 1:39 PM EDT up reply actions

ha
only two off!

by Alien @ Minor League Ball on Jun 7, 2005 1:40 PM EDT up reply actions

Hovchevar
Out of the first round.  Wow.

by Tyler on Jun 7, 2005 1:39 PM EDT reply actions

There is still the supplemental round
A team like Anaheim, whose first pick is that supplemental, could go for Hochevar

by mtk52983 on Jun 7, 2005 1:40 PM EDT up reply actions

diary
Question in the diaries: who is the biggest surprise in the first round?

by John Sickels on Jun 7, 2005 1:40 PM EDT reply actions

Biggest Surprise
Hochevar not being drafted.

by MarkS on Jun 7, 2005 1:41 PM EDT up reply actions

Man, I can't believe that both Hochevar and Hansen were available and the Yankees didn't snap one up.

by amol on Jun 7, 2005 1:52 PM EDT reply actions

by cinthree on Jun 7, 2005 1:54 PM EDT reply actions

by John Sickels on Jun 7, 2005 1:55 PM EDT reply actions
