Matthew Green (Dbacks 2nd rounder)

What are your guys thoughts on Matt Green, the D-I strikeout leader? I just drafted him in my dynasty leagues rookie draft, and he seems pretty advanced.

Anyone know anything or have anything to share on him? Does he project as a frontline starter, and could he be pushed through the minors quickly?

Also picked up Cameron Maybin and John Mayberry in this draft...

Green's Age

Green had an impressive college season, to be sure, but he's already 23 years old.

Not sure about Green

The age is an obvious issue, but if his stuff is legit then he should manage.

Not sure what Green throws, though. I'd guess he's either got a curveball with a really steep break or that he throws some good heat.

I would assume that due to his age, Green will be pushed along as quickly as possible. A bullpen move is a good possibility to facilitate such a push, IMO, although I've heard nothing of that actually happening.

To be considered a legitimately good prospect, he's going to need to reach AA ball (and perhaps even AAA) sometime in 2006. Any lower and success will probably be largely attributed to age-relative-to-league, although further analysis would be deserved.
