Mets announce September call-ups, reinstate OF Anderson

Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - The New York Mets announced their September call-ups Monday and reinstated outfielder Marlon Anderson from the 15-day disabled list. Anderson made his second trip to the DL this season August 2 with a strained left hamstring as he was also on the DL from May 24-June 10 with the same injury. He is batting .222 in 73 games this season. The Mets also recalled the following players from Triple-A New Orleans to fill out the expanded roster: catcher Gustavo Molina, infielders Argenis Reyes and Ramon Martinez, and pitchers Carlos Muniz, Jonathan Niese, Ricardo Rincon, Bobby Parnell and Brandon Knight In addition, New York transferred outfielder Trot Nixon and pitchers Matt Wise, Jason Vargas and Orlando Hernandez to the 60-day DL and designated pitcher Willie Collazo for assignment.
