I am now working on the Seattle Mariners prospect list. The next team in line is the Washington Nationals, to be followed by....wait, is this right? Am I finally almost done with this?
Use this thread to discuss the Washington Nationals organization. Possible points of discussion could include, but are not limited to:
***2013 was disappointing at the big league level but the '14 squad has been more successful in the early going. Will they maintain that? How many games will they win this year?
***What about subsequent seasons? The core of the big league club is young but do you see potential holes coming up that will need to be filled?
***My early impression of the farm system is that it has thinned out but they've shown they can recharge quickly and the lower levels deserve some enthusiasm. In particular, how would you manage Lucas Giolito's workload this year and how aggressive would you be about promoting him if he pitches well for Hagerstown?
***Any particular targets for the 2014 draft?
***As always, feel free to discuss sleepers or anything else Nationals-related.
