Jason Knapp (Phillies, Indians) is a Ranger.

I wouldn't normally say this was worth noting, but I think it's wild that he was given a minor league contract.

For those of you that don't remember, Knapp was part of the "dynamite" Cliff Lee trade. Over three years, Knapp allowed 4 HRs in 156 innings, while striking out over 200. He had an extremely strong arm and an a possibly exciting future. Then, he injured his shoulder twice and that was the end. He is only 23, despite being around forever and a day. Most likely, he'll get knocked around in whatever league they start him in and he'll hang it up after. But wouldn't it be a cool story if he still had something left? I think it's an interesting story line to follow. Interestingly enough, I still have him in my AL only dynasty league (no penalty for holding on to minor leaguers). I took a flyer on him in the 4th round of the milb draft in 2009. We get awarded compensatory picks of players are traded to the NL or retire/go to independent leagues. I never thought his "comeback" was going to actually land him on a roster.

Wild :)
