New Blog - The Cardinal Report (contains a draft primer)

I recently started a new Cardinal blog that I hope you all will check out: Cardinal Report | St. Louis Cardinals information

Among the recent topics are:

  • A case to draft Tim Anderson
  • Insight into our recent Mock draft
  • My own shadow draft
  • Discussion on draft strategies

But the thing that may jump out the most to you right now is a draft primer (from a Cardinal fan's perspective, but many of the links and info could be helpful to anyone wanting info on the draft) I put together here: http://cardinalreport.wordpress.com/2013/05/23/reference-links/

In that draft primer, you will find:

  • A Mock draft database and links to some of the better mocks
  • Many links to top prospect lists
  • A link to 'senior sign' players that could be useful in determining who could be a good fit to provide better financial flexibility with the draft bonus allotment
  • A number of links with various scouting information
  • College stat data
  • Info of the Cardinals Bonus slot money, including an exact number for each pick Round 1-10, amount they can go over before real penalty, and a reference to other slot amounts when it comes to going overslot or underslot

Hope you check it out.
