Red Sox MOD #2

It seems like we have 3 clear guys we’d like at 7th, Frazier, Stewart and Moran in that order. The most likely to be available is Moran because he doesn't have the supper elite ceiling that people doing mocks would like. I do see him as a guy that could pepper the monster for 81 games a year and be one of those undervalued guys that put up elite contribution even though they don’t have the gaudy power numbers. His defense at 3rd is his biggest question mark and it seems like the more people watch him the more they like him there. I still would take Frazier and Stewart ahead of him but I would be perfectly fine ending up with him.

I’d like to come up with a 4th guy just in case one of the 3 above drops downs as the process goes along or the top 3 is not available. My list of guys for this spot would be as follows:

1) Trey Ball, LHP, Indiana HS – He’s a tall athletic lefty that is up to 94 and has a full repertoire though he needs polish with his off-speed pitches. What I like is that he has a fresh arm and that’s something the Red Sox value. I don’t like that he turns 19 before the draft but the Red Sox don’t seem to mind that, they actually have drafted quite a few guys in that category, Blake Swihart, Garin Cecchini and Ty Buttery come to mind.
2) Austin Meadows, OF, Georgia HS – I’m the high man on him and I feel like some of the criticism is unfair. Reports are varied but most have him as a guy that has at least a decent-to above-avg hit tool and with that frame that’s all I need. I know he may move to a corner but that’s not really a problem for me, the power is there, young hitters take their time to develop power. Since we have to be realistic I don't have a great feeling he's a Red Sox type, though you never know.
3) Braden Shipley, RHP, Nevada – If the Red Sox were picking lower I would be all over this guy but I feel like 7th is a bit rich. He has a profile very similar to Matt Barnes and is actually more athletic. His ultimate ceiling is that of a #2 but I don’t have feel for how good his off speed stuff is which may prevent him from reaching that ceiling. All in all I think he should be at least in the short-list.
4) Sean Manaea, LHP, Indiana St – Coming into the year I liked him as a potential #1 overall pick but this spring he has been backing up a bit. His numbers were good Friday night but Kiley McDaniel of scout.com/Fox Sports says he was told he was low 90s early and then lower after a few innings. If he comes back to the level he was at even early in the spring he’s the clear 4th guy for me. I’m scared about the hip injury so that’s the highest I could go with him and I feel like the top 3(our top 3) has clearly passed him at this point. On the other hand if he continues to have problems with his health and his stuff is diminished much more he’s off the board for me. What I like about him is that he can dominate just with his fast ball, which is something I like in pitchers.

Other guys who may be of interest: Stanek, I posted in the comments my reasons for not liking him at this pick I’m not thrilled about the delivery and don’t like the fact that he doesn't dominate enough with his fast ball. McGuire, Denney etc.

Questions:
1) Who do you like as that 4th guy to join Frazier, Stewart and Moran?
2) How would you rank them?
3) Do you feel like Meadows would be a Sox type of pick?

2nd Round:

I'm already working on a list thanks to the names you guys suggested. The Red Sox picking this high I've been following most of the top guys not so much at the bottom but I have a couple of guys that could be interesting.

Looking forward to your thoughts!!!!!
