***As you no doubt know, the big news yesterday in the prospect world involved Texas Rangers lefty Martin Perez, who was hit by a line drive in Sunday's game, fracturing his ulna. At this point of course we just need to wait and see what happens, but he'll be out at the very least for a month and it might be a good idea to avoid any expectation about a contribution before the second half. Keep track of Rangers pitching prospect Nick Tepesch, who is generating some positive buzz.

***Washington Nationals pitching prospect Christian Garcia is injured again.

***Baltimore Orioles uber-prospect Dylan Bundy is sidelined with a groin spasm.

***Cincinnati Reds relief prospect J.J. Hoover is still technically a rookie despite spending much of 2012 in the majors. He performed quite well and has the look of a future closer to me, but is still not guaranteed a roster spot.
