Minor League Draft coming up and would appreciate some perspective. Quick background, our league has no restrictions on drafting kids not yet in pro ball; meaning to say potential mlb draftees like Carlos Rodon and Trae Turner are eligible to be selected. With that said, both of those players are already off the board from last years draft.
My team's future needs primarily center around 1B, C & SP with an even more distant need for 2B. With that said I have a few players I'm targeting as I have (2) of the first (10) picks; #6 & #8. I know Abreu will be 1.1 as that owner has made his intentions clear. Tanaka is almost certainly 1.2. I suspect by the time my 1.6 rolls around I'll be choosing from one of the following and wanted to get the community perspective of who would be most favored:
- Juilo Urias
- Andrew Heaney
- Tyler Kolek (2014 Draft Prospect)
Regarding my first base needs - I further suspect that DJ Peterson and Braxton Davidson (2014 Draft Prospect) will be available - I'm leaning towards one or the other @ 1.8.
Lastly, I'm thinking of reaching for Alex Bregman with my 2nd round pick and wanted to get a sense of what folks think of him overall.
Any clarifying questions to help shape the response, simply let me know.
Appreciate the time...
