Boston Red Sox Organization Discussion

Ben Cherington and John Farrell - Jared Wickerham

I am now working on the Milwaukee Brewers prospect list. The next team in line is the Boston Red Sox, to be followed by the San Diego Padres, the Los Angeles Angels, the Colorado Rockies, and the Cincinnati Reds to finish up.

Use this thread to discuss the Boston Red Sox, their farm system, and their future. Some possible points for community discussion (although obviously you are free to talk about whatever you want to as long as it is Red Sox-oriented):

****No doubt about it, 2012 was a disaster. The team is in a clear rebuilding mode now. Which players, if any, on the current major league roster would you like to make a long-term commitment to as part of your new core? How soon will you return to playoff contention? Can you do it this year?

****What is your assessment of the current state of the farm system? Would you rank it in the top five in the game? Top ten? Middle of the pack? Bottom quarter?

****What's your draft strategy for 2013? You're not allowed to say "best player available."

****As always, share your sleepers with the community if you like.
