Through 24 AAA games this year, he has posted a 7-7 record with a 5.48 ERA, 137 hits and 71 earned runs in 116.2 innings pitched. His BB/K during this period is 39:82. Not sure what the scouts are reporting, but I see very little in the way of things to like about this once dominating fantasy enigma.

As recently as 5 months ago, the Minor League Ball community ranked Teheran as a top 5 prospect. MLB.com has him listed as the 2012 top overall prospect (granted, there are cobwebs on their lists).

With the end of the minor league season approaching, I have been revising my prospect rankings, and was stumped when I reached Teheran. I find myself liking more and more players more than him based on potential mlb impact, and when I ask the question of myself, "would I take Player X over him?" the answer is increasingly yes. He's (tentatively) sitting at around 74 in my overall prospect rankings, and so I ask - where do you rank Teheran now? Has he really fallen this far from grace? Is he KC's Mike Montgomery all over again?
