Trade Deadline Discussion Thread

The trade deadline is upon us. Here is a discussion thread for you to exchange information, ideas, rumors, and incorrect opinions. We'll have analysis for each prospect involved in a trade today, so check back often.

To get this started, what do you guys think of the Travis Snider trade? I still think he has the potential to be an above-average major league outfielder, but he clearly needed a change of scenery out of Toronto. Brad Lincoln, meanwhile, has developed into a very good major league pitcher, finally overcoming the legacy of injuries in his past.

I like this for the Pirates actually. Lincoln is good, but relievers are fungible, whereas Snider can still develop into an everyday impact player. On the other hand, it was clear that Snider wasn't going to find a place to play regularly in Toronto. What do you guys think? I'll put a poll question up.
