Jonathan Singleton posted his 11th HR and his 11th double yesterday to raise his OPS to 1.003 and his batting average to .317. He's 20, and in AA.

Mark Appel pitched a complete game beauty last night- 9 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 11 K, 122 pitches. I really like this guy, people seem down on him around here but I think he's the best of the big three college SPs, all I worry about is the wear on his arm. Why does he need to be left in a 9-1 rout in the 9th inning? Damn Stanford....
