While the Cubs have long struggled to develop position players, their system now boasts a fine assortment of position player talent after the recent signing of Jorge Soler and drafting of Albert Almora, assuming he signs. Things aren’t so promising on the pitching side, though their draft was extremely pitching-heavy. They also have the potential to add further talent via midseason trades. Do you think it’s conceivable that the Cubs will possess a top 5, even top 3, farm system by the end of the year?
