My draft board has changed a lot in the last month. Watching more video, hearing what people are saying and reading scouting reports has changed my view of some players. For all the talk of this being a poor draft, I disagree. The talent is just less proven and at the high school level. No there aren't eight studs at the top, but there are a lot of potential impact players. Not superstars but good MLB starters.
As of right now, here is my draft board. It is 373 players long with and I have another 400 that I have marked to research. That won't happen by draft time but it may get to the mid 400's by draft time. This order can change as well but this is where it stands right now.
Rank | Name | Pos | Level | High School | College | State |
1 | Mike Zunino | C | JR | 0 | Florida | FL |
Prototypical backstop with a good bat, plus power and very good defense. Potentially a top 10 catcher at the MLB level
2 | Lucas Giolito | P | HS | Harvard Westlake | 0 | CA |
Has the size and stuff to front a rotation. His plus fastball in the upper 90's and his sharp curveball could be MLB out pitches.
3 | Carlos Correa | SS | HS | PR Baseball Academy | 0 | PR |
Correa has good actions at short but may outgrow the position. Could be a great 3B and bat should be enough to make him very valuable there. Could be the best player in this draft if he can stick at SS.
4 | Kevin Gausman | P | SO | 0 | Louisiana State | LA |
Unpolished out of HS, he still has a ways to go but made big strides this year. Mid 90's fastball, plus curveball and good command make him a solid bet to he a #2-3 starter.
5 | Marcus Stroman | P | JR | 0 | Duke | NC |
Short Righty has ace level stuff with a good knowledge of what to do with it. Just nasty curveball.
6 | Byron Buxton | OF | HS | Appling County | 0 | GA |
One of the better athletes in the draft, he can throw in the mid-90's but the value is at the plate. Elite potential in all categories but bat and power lag behind speed and defense.
7 | Kyle Zimmer | P | JR | 0 | San Francisco | CA |
Great athlete focused full time on pitching and got rave reviews. Plus curveball and upper 90's fastball gets him in 1-1 conversation. Athletecism should allow him to continue improving.
8 | Max Fried | P | HS | Harvard-Westlake | 0 | CA |
Prep lefty has one of the better breaking balls in the entire draft. Low to mid 90's fastball is also a weapon. Good command and development could make him a #2-3 starter.
9 | Courtney Hawkins | OF | HS | Carroll | 0 | TX |
Huge power potential. Has the arm for RF but could stick in CF for a while. An amazing athlete. Also has potential on the mound but is a better hitter.
10 | Gavin Cecchini | SS | HS | Barbe | 0 | LA |
Should stick as an average shortstop defensively with an above average bat. Not a lot of power but more than most middle infielders.
11 | Mark Appel | P | JR | 0 | Stanford | CA |
Front of the rotations stuff with #3 starter results. Doesn't have a consistent knockout pitch. More hittable than he should be but can't argue that he has a lot of potential.
12 | Richie Shaffer | 3B | JR | 0 | Clemson | SC |
Potential power hitting 3B. May end up with too much swing and miss to be an impact corner OF'er or 1B if he has to move.
13 | Albert Almora | OF | HS | Mater Academy | 0 | FL |
Great athlete with a great bat. Power is there to be above average. Can handle CF but may end up in LF.
14 | David Dahl | OF | HS | Oak Mountain | 0 | AL |
An impressive athlete with a great swing. Speed could keep him in CF and bat would allow him to be well above there. Power will have to play up to be an above average RF.
15 | Matthew Smoral | P | HS | Solon | 0 | OH |
Big lefty with an easy delivery with low 90's stuff up to mid 90's occasionally. He has a very good change and a developing slider. Tons of potential.
16 | Lance McCullers | P | HS | Jesuit | 0 | FL |
Short and well muscled, very little projection left. Mid to upper 90's fastball and a tight slider can be plus pitches. Looks like a closer to me but could be a #2 if his change improves.
17 | Andrew Heaney | P | JR | 0 | Oklahoma State | OK |
Polished lefty that knows how to pitch. Solid #3-4 starter, which in this draft is a lock for the mid 1st round or higher.
18 | Trey Williams | 3B | HS | Valencia | 0 | CA |
MLB bloodlines, athletecism, sweet swing and a good arm. Inconsistency is his knock but he looks like a future MLB star to me.
19 | Walker Weickel | P | HS | Olympia | 0 | FL |
With low 90's velocity touching 94 and a plus changeup, he has two above average pitches. His curve is a bit of a lollipop and his mechanics need to be quieter but he is a very good athlete.
20 | Lucas Sims | P | HS | Brookwood | 0 | GA |
Upper 90's velocity and flashing two plus pitches ccould get him a #2 starter spot. Inconsistency could derail that.
21 | Ty Hensley | P | HS | Santa Fe | 0 | OK |
Big bodied two way player is better on the mound. One of the better breaking balls in the draft could make him a #2-3 starter if all goes right.
22 | Zach Eflin | P | HS | Hagerty | 0 | FL |
Projectable righty is really moving up this spring. Low to mid 90's velocity and good secondaries make him a potential #2 starter.
23 | Stryker Trahan | C | HS | Acadiana | 0 | LA |
Star potential with a great bat, big power potential and a ton of speed for a catcher. Good enough defense for C but may end up in RF.
24 | Rio Ruiz | 3B | HS | Bishop Amat | 0 | CA |
Blood clot forced him to miss some of his senior year, but he has the skills to be one of the best players in this draft in the long run. Great bat, good D. Potential star.
25 | Michael Wacha | P | JR | 0 | Texas A&M | TX |
Not a very controlled delivery. Secondary offerings are ok at best. Value is in him starting. I see a bullpen in his future.
26 | Deven Marrero | SS | JR | 0 | Arizona State | AZ |
Great defensive shortstop has issues with the bat. Not much power, hitting ability average at best but could improve and gain consistency to validate first round pick.
27 | Jose Orlando Berrios | P | HS | Bayamo, PR | 0 | PR |
Berrios has added some weight to his lean frame and been up to 97. He is an arm to watch. Impressed me last summer.
28 | Stephen Piscotty | 3B | JR | 0 | Stanford | CA |
Average bat for 3B, less for a corner OF. May end up as a mediocre LF for a while.
29 | Alex Bregman | C | HS | Albuquerque Academy | 0 | NM |
Broken finger took out much of his senior season but he can hit, has power and is a good defender at 2B. Really like his skills and the way he plays the game.
30 | Chris Stratton | P | JR | 0 | Mississippi State | MS |
One of the better breaking balls in the draft, paired with his low to mid 90's fastball, he looks like a future #2-3 starter.
31 | Addison Russell | SS | HS | Pace (Fla.) HS | 0 | FL |
Russell lost some weight this spring and now looks like he can stick at SS. This will have to be watched but the bat will play at 3B or LF where he could move as well.
32 | Hunter Virant | P | HS | Camarillo | 0 | CA |
Farily new to pitching, there is a lot of growth needed here but it also comes with a ton of potential.
33 | Jesmuel Valentin Diaz | SS | HS | Puerto Rico Baseball Academy | 0 | PR |
MLB bloodlines and smooth defense at SS will get him drafted early. Very good bat will pay dividends to the team that takes him.
34 | Clate Schmidt | P | HS | Allatoona | 0 | GA |
Great athlete has some effort in his delivery but has potential for a plus fastball and plus breaking ball. Needs to add strength.
35 | Shane Watson | P | HS | Lakewood | 0 | CA |
Up to 93 already and could add more. Plus breaking ball to go along with it makes hima potential future #2/3.
36 | Austin Maddox | P | JR | 0 | Florida | FL |
I was wrong. I thought he'd be a 1st round C/1B with huge power. He is a supplemental round talent out of the bullpen with the stuff to be tried out as a starter with closer potential if that fails.
37 | Tyler Naquin | OF | JR | 0 | Texas A&M | TX |
Best OF arm in the draft, he has a smooth LH swing. He won't hit many out of the park but isn't a slap hitter either.
38 | James Ramsey | OF | SR | 0 | Florida State | FL |
A great summer run continued into spring as FSU's captain keeps playing well. Kind of a tweener, not enough power for a corner spot, not enough D for CF but he can play.
39 | Anthony Alford | OF | HS | Petal | 0 | MS |
Amazing athlete has told teams he's going to college to play football and baseball. Could be a star if he'd focus on baseball.
40 | Clint Coulter | C | HS | Union | 0 | WA |
Great bat. Big time power and should stick at C for a while. If he outgrows it the bat will have to really be good.
41 | Nolan Fontana | SS | JR | 0 | Florida | FL |
Fontana's bat hasn't been as good this year but his glove has been better than last. Very good SS, great approach to lead off a lineup.
42 | Tanner Rahier | SS | HS | Palm Desert | 0 | CA |
A very good hitter but I don't think he can stick at SS. Will be a good defnder at 3B and the skills will play there.
43 | Nick Williams | OF | HS | Ball (Galveston, Texas) | 0 | TX |
Extremely inconsistent. Extremely talented. Could be an all-star CF with huge power or he could bat .230 with 20 HR's. Worth a gamble past the 20th pick.
44 | Jesse Winker | OF | HS | Olympia | 0 | FL |
Big power potential but lacks consistent hard contact. Very good arm will play well in RF.
45 | Matt Olson | 1B | HS | Parkview | 0 | GA |
Love the swing. He will really have to hit but I think he will.
46 | Joey Gallo | 3B | HS | Bishop Gorman | 0 | NV |
Big power. With the bat and the arm. I'd prefer him on the mound but he will get a shot at 3B. Has 40 HR power. Not sure contact will allow that to happen.
47 | Tomas Nido | C | HS | Orangewood Christian School | 0 | PR |
Huge bat, big power, very good arm and solid behind the plate.
48 | Corey Seager | 3B | HS | Northwest Cabarrus | 0 | NC |
Will fill out and may have to move off 3B. Athletic enough to play OF. Bat is strong but not a carrying tool at a corner spot.
49 | Mitchell Brown | P | HS | Rochester Century | 0 | MN |
Very polished for a MN prep arm. Could have 4 average or better offerings.
50 | Lewis Brinson | OF | HS | Coral Springs | 0 | FL |
Crazy athlete with a long way to go to translate it to the diamond.
51 | Jeffrey Gelalich | OF | JR | 0 | UCLA | CA |
Torrid JR year moved him up. Very good bat, solid D and overall game should make him a valuable 2nd round pick.
52 | Travis Jankowski | OF | JR | 0 | Stony Brook | NY |
Good defense, good power, good bat. He doesn't do anything extremely well but does everything well. A lot of his future value is if he can stick in CF.
53 | Christian Walker | 1B | JR | 0 | South Carolina | CA |
Can flat out hit. HR power might develop, who cares he'll hit a ton of doubles. Very good defensively, solid speed. Good all around package should allow him to have a long MLB career.
54 | Avery Romero | 3B | HS | Pedro Menendez | 0 | FL |
The bat is very good. There is a lot of power there as well. He is slow and will need to work hard defensively to reach his ceiling at 3B. May have to move across the diamond.
55 | Dane Phillips | C | SR | 0 | Arkansas | AR |
Showed amazingly well with the bat this year, still unsure he can catch but the work ethic is there for him to give it a good shot.
56 | Wyatt Mathisen | C | HS | Calallen | 0 | TX |
An argument can be made for him being the best prep catcher in the draft. He is a great all around player.
57 | Victor Roache | OF | JR | 0 | Georgia Southern | GA |
Big power potential was hampered when he broke his wrist this spring. Needs to get healthy and make better contact.
58 | Mitchell Traver | P | HS | Houston Christian | 0 | TX |
Big strong righty hasn't shown the best this spring but could be a solid #3/4 in the bigs.
59 | Brandon Thomas | OF | JR | 0 | Georgia Tech | GA |
Great athlete can play CF well. He has a solid arm and has some power potential but it is a ways off. Raw at the plate, bat is the big question.
60 | David Thompson | OF | HS | Westminster Christian | 0 | FL |
A very good hitter but he may have to end up in LF. That hurts his stock. If he can stick at 3B, he could be a very good pick.
61 | Austin Aune | SS | HS | Argyle | 0 | TX |
Very good athlete. Very nice swing and potential to be a LH hitting SS with good D is very intriguing.
62 | Dylan Baker | P | J2 | 0 | Western Nevada | NV |
Alaskan went JuCo route and is raising eyebrows with mid 90's velocity.
63 | Jake Barrett | P | JR | 0 | Arizona State | AZ |
Wild and inconsistent, he looks like a bullpen arm with potential to close. He has a really good slider he shows occasionally to go with upper 90's velocity. Elbow health is a concern.
64 | Chris Beck | P | JR | 0 | Georgia Southern | GA |
Mid 90's fastball and average breaking ball and changeup look like he could be a sold #3-4 starter.
65 | CJ Hinojosa | SS | HS | Klein Collins | 0 | TX |
Texas commit is strong. Shoulder surgery also clouds future. 95% likely to head to Texas.
66 | Ty Buttrey | P | HS | Providence | 0 | NC |
Big RHP has big arm. Looks like a mid-rotation starter if secondaries develop.
67 | Fernando Perez | 3B | J1 | Otay Ranch | Central Arizona CC | AZ |
Sweet swinging solid defender at 3B. Has plus power potential and could be a steal past the mid 2nd round.
68 | Tyler Gonzales | P | HS | James Madison | 0 | TX |
Low 90's fastball with a really nice breaking ball along with great athleticism helps project him with a #2 ceiling.
69 | Nick Travieso | P | HS | Archbishop McCarthy | 0 | FL |
As his velocity gets closer to 100, he gets closer to a first round selection. Wary of the secondary stuff. Could be a future closer if he can get one to be above average.
70 | Kayden Porter | P | HS | Spanish Fork | 0 | UT |
Big righty has a powerful build and a powerful arm but secondaries aren't as sharp.
71 | Peter O'Brien | C | SR | 0 | Miami | FL |
Power bat makes this senior seem like a solid pick but it will really have to play up if he can't catch and many say he won't stick there.
72 | Fernelys Sanchez | OF | HS | George Washington | 0 | NY |
Amazing athlete with great speed. Bat and power are questionable but the potential is intriguing.
73 | Skye Bolt | OF | HS | Holy Innocents | 0 | GA |
5 tool type athlete but none of the 5 tools play much over average. He is a good hitter but might not have the range for CF or the bat for a corner.
74 | Rhett Wiseman | OF | HS | Buckingham Browne & Nichols | 0 | MA |
Wiseman has great tools. He is a plus athlete with plus bat speed but contact is an issue. May end up at Vandy.
75 | Brett Phillips | OF | HS | Seminole | 0 | FL |
Athletic build is easy to project. Has a great arm and could be an above average CF with a plus bat.
76 | J.T. Chargois | P | JR | 0 | Rice | TX |
Mid 90's velocity and an impressive curve ball could get him drafted early. Will likely be a back end of the bullpen guy.
77 | Patrick Wisdom | 3B | JR | 0 | St. Mary’s | CA |
Plus power and a solid defender at 3B is one of the better college bats in the draft.
78 | Pierce Johnson | P | JR | 0 | Missouri State | MO |
With a low to mid 90's fastball, his middling command and tendency to overuse his breaking ball, he has a ways to go to his potential. He hasn't been overly durable either.
79 | Duane Underwood | P | HS | Pope | 0 | GA |
Athletic with a power arm, his results and stuff has been erratic. There is a lot of potential but he may have to prove it at Georgia to get paid.
80 | Edwin Diaz | P | HS | Naguabo | 0 | PR |
Normally Diaz could be the top Puerto Rican draft pick but will be the 3rd off the board this year. Impressive for a guy with mid 90's heat.
81 | D'Vone McClure | OF | HS | Jacksonville | 0 | AR |
I love the swing. He may not be able to stay in CF but he should hit enough for a corner spot. I contemplated moving him up as high as the 40's.
82 | Mitch Nay | 1B | HS | Hamilton | 0 | AZ |
Some of the best power in the prep ranks. Will have to work hard to not end up at 1B where bat will have to play to maximum potential.
83 | Bryan De La Rosa | C | HS | Bucky Dent Baseball School | 0 | FL |
Great bat speed and a great arm lend themselves to being a well above average catcher.
84 | Nelson Rodriguez | C | HS | George Washington | 0 | NY |
Huge kid that can really hit. He may be too big to stay behind the plate, then the bat will really have to pick up but I have a good feeling with him.
85 | Sam Selman | P | JR | 0 | Vanderbilt | TN |
An enigma. From 85-95 with the fastball, consistency is not in his vocabulary right now. That will make or break him. #2 ceiling, Low A washout floor.
86 | Mitch Haniger | OF | 0 | 0 | Cal Poly | CA |
Some of the best power in the college ranks with solid average tools across the board. He isn't going to be flashy but is a solid pick.
87 | Kevin Plawecki | C | JR | 0 | Purdue | IN |
Most of his value is in him staying behind the plate. He is a bit inconsistent back there but he could be an average backstop.
88 | Cody Poteet | P | HS | Christian | 0 | CA |
Poteet flashes above average velocity and one of the best prep breaking balls in the draft, if not the best. His delivery needs some work but he is a very good athlete.
89 | Austin Fairchild | P | HS | St. Thomas | 0 | TX |
Sitting in the low 90's with potential for more from the left side. His delivery is unusual but it works.
90 | Carson Kelly | 3B | HS | Westview | 0 | OR |
A low 90's fastball with good movement, a feel for a changeup and a nasty slider are enough to think he could be a solid #3.
91 | Martin Agosta | P | JR | 0 | St. Mary’s | CA |
Low to mid 90's fastball and solid 3 pitch mix should get him drafted by the 3rd round if not sooner.
92 | Taylor Dugas | OF | SR | 0 | Alabama | AL |
A gamer. The player is more than the sum of the tools. He can hit, run and defend. May be a 4th Of'er but it wouldn't shock me to see him as a starting CF for someone.
93 | D.J. Baxendale | P | JR | 0 | Arkansas | AR |
Low 90's fastball, good slider and polish could make him a #3-4 starter.
94 | Kurt Heyer | P | JR | 0 | Arizona | AZ |
With a low 90's fastball and knowing how to pitch can get you far. He's a #4/5 starter probably but he is a solid bet to hit the bigs.
95 | Jason Goldstein | C | HS | Highland Park | 0 | IL |
Good defensively and solid at the plate, he isn't flashy but is a solid HS catching prospects
96 | Tom Murphy | C | JR | 0 | Buffalo | NY |
Murphy is a leseer version of Zunino. Solid across the board and could be a MLB catcher but just not a top level backstop.
97 | Brady Rodgers | P | JR | 0 | Arizona State | AZ |
A great mixture of 4 average pitches keeps hitters off balance. Won't K a lot of guys but he almost walks no one.
98 | Barrett Barnes | OF | JR | 0 | Texas Tech | TX |
Maybe the fastest runner in the college ranks, his bat has some pop as well.
99 | D.J. Davis | 3B | HS | Stone | Cal State Fullerton | MS |
Davis is flying up draft boards. He is the fastest runner in the draft, probably, and could be a 1st round pick with current helium. He could be an electric player if the bat develops like it could.
100 | Brandon Lopez | SS | HS | American Heritage | 0 | FL |
Solid defensively he could stick at SS. If he does the bat will be well above average for the position.
101 | Teddy Stankiewicz | P | HS | Fort Worth Christian | 0 | TX |
Mid 90's heat is enough to get this high but the secondaries haven't developed well yet.
102 | Taylore Cherry | P | HS | Vandalia Butler | 0 | OH |
Huge righty will need to watch his conditioning. He has good stuff, good enough to be a #3 starter.
103 | Anthony Seise | P | HS | West Orange | 0 | FL |
Big potential from this tall thin lefty with tons of athletecism. Raw athleticism could make for an intersting prospect.
104 | Nolan Gannon | P | HS | Santa Fe Christian | 0 | CA |
0 | ||||||
105 | Carson Fulmer | P | HS | All Saints Academy | 0 | FL |
0 | ||||||
106 | Ryan Burr | P | HS | Highlands Ranch | 0 | CO |
0 | ||||||
107 | Cole Miller | 1B | HS | Darlington School | 0 | GA |
0 | ||||||
108 | Josh Henderson | OF | HS | Home school | 0 | VA |
Toolsy OF'er has an impressive bat. He has as high a ceiling as almost anyone in the draft.
109 | Daniel Robertson | 3B | HS | Upland | 0 | CA |
Aggressive hacks at the plate. Can really hit. Good arm at 3B. Solid all around player. Player more than tools.
110 | Theo Alexander | OF | HS | Lake Washington | Kirkland, WA | WA |
0 | ||||||
111 | Mitchell Gueller | OF | HS | WF West | 0 | WA |
0 | ||||||
112 | Adam Brett Walker | 1B | JR | 0 | Jacksonville | FL |
0 | ||||||
113 | Eric Hanhold | P | HS | East Lake | 0 | FL |
0 | ||||||
114 | Xavier Turner | 3B | HS | Sandusky | 0 | OH |
0 | ||||||
115 | Mitch Garver | C | JR | 0 | New Mexico | 0 |
0 | ||||||
116 | Kieran Lovegrove | P | HS | Mission Viejo | 0 | CA |
0 | ||||||
117 | Branden Kline | P | JR | 0 | Virginia | VA |
Kline looks like a future set up man or a potential #4/5 starter with a low 90's fastball and great slider.
118 | Brett Mooneyham | P | JR | 0 | Stanford | CA |
0 | ||||||
119 | Adrian Sampson | P | J2 | 0 | Bellevue CC | WA |
0 | ||||||
120 | Josh Elander | C | JR | 0 | TCU | TX |
0 | ||||||
121 | Pat Light | P | JR | 0 | Monmouth | NJ |
0 | ||||||
122 | Kyle Twomey | P | HS | El Dorado | 0 | CA |
0 | ||||||
123 | Alec Rash | P | HS | ADM | 0 | IA |
0 | ||||||
124 | Tyler Gaffney | OF | JR | 0 | Stanford | CA |
0 | ||||||
125 | Mac Williamson | OF | JR | 0 | Wake Forest | NC |
Not a lot of experience since he was recruited as a pitcher, Williamson could break out focusing on playing every day. Can cover ground in CF now, will likely need to shift over. Hopefully bat picks up by then.
126 | Ty Moore | OF | HS | Mater Dei | 0 | CA |
Good athlete shows promise on the mound but best potential is at the plate. Strong swing creates power. Could really do well as a CF but more likely a corner guy where bat will really have to play up.
127 | Jacob Stewart | OF | JR | 0 | Stanford | CA |
0 | ||||||
128 | Luke Maile | C | JR | 0 | Kentucky | KY |
0 | ||||||
129 | Steven Duggar | OF | HS | Byrnes | 0 | SC |
0 | ||||||
130 | Damien Magnifico | P | JR | 0 | Oklahoma | OK |
100 MPH+ fastball but little else. Has command issues as well. If he gains consistency he could be very good.
131 | Ron Miller | 3B | HS | Serra | 0 | CA |
Big power. Loud mechanically, loud sound off the bat. Not sure where he fits defensively.
132 | Jameis Winston | OF | HS | Hueytown | 0 | AL |
0 | ||||||
133 | Keon Barnum | 1B | HS | King | 0 | FL |
Big power potential with big swing and bat speed. Will need to hit a ton as 1B is his only defensive option.
134 | Kevin Brady | P | JR | 0 | Clemson | SC |
Injury issues have slowed Brady but 95+ velocity will get him another chance. Good command when healthy. Could be much higher if stuff is there.
135 | A.J. Vanegas | P | SO | 0 | Stanford | CA |
0 | ||||||
136 | Kyle Hansen | P | JR | 0 | St. John's | NY |
0 | ||||||
137 | Brian Johnson | P | JR | 0 | Florida | FL |
Not sure if he is a LHP or a 1B. Bat seems a little light for 1B, arm seems a little light for LHP. We will see what his drafting team thinks. Think Mitch Moreland.
138 | Steven Rodriguez | P | 0 | 0 | Florida | FL |
Profiles almost exclusively as a lefty reliever but shold be a good one with excellent stuff. Command is an issue at times.
139 | Nolan Sanburn | P | SO | 0 | Arkansas | AR |
0 | ||||||
140 | Matt Price | P | JR | 0 | South Carolina | SC |
Price has been a dominant closer in college. He has shown he can start but will likely end up at the back of the pen again as a set up man or closer.
141 | Damian Carroll | P | HS | 0 | 0 | VA |
0 | ||||||
142 | Ryan McNeil | P | HS | Nipomo | 0 | CA |
0 | ||||||
143 | Max Foody | P | HS | IMG Baseball Academy | Florida State | FL |
0 | ||||||
144 | Jeremy Kivel | P | HS | Spring | 0 | TX |
0 | ||||||
145 | Walker Buehler | P | HS | Henry Clay | 0 | KY |
0 | ||||||
146 | Tyler Pike | P | HS | Winter Haven | 0 | FL |
0 | ||||||
147 | Kenny Diekroeger | SS | JR | 0 | Stanford | CA |
0 | ||||||
148 | Adrian Marin | OF | HS | Gulliver Prep | 0 | FL |
0 | ||||||
149 | James Marvel | P | HS | Campolindo | 0 | CA |
0 | ||||||
150 | Braden Bishop | OF | HS | St. Francis | 0 | CA |
0 | ||||||
151 | Lex Rutledge | P | JR | 0 | Samford | AL |
0 | ||||||
152 | Hoby Milner | P | JR | 0 | Texas | TX |
0 | ||||||
153 | Matt Koch | P | JR | 0 | Louisville | KY |
0 | ||||||
154 | Eddie Butler | P | JR | 0 | Radford | VA |
0 | ||||||
155 | Logan Ehlers | P | J2 | 0 | Howard | TX |

Good hitter but mediocre tools after that. Will be a corner guy where bat will have to improve to make it. Looks like a power bench bat to me.
159 | Cameron Perkins | 3B | JR | 0 | Purdue | IN |
Might outgrow 3B but power plays at any corner. Long swing will be compromised by good pitching.

More of a gap hitter than a power hitter, the hit tool is there. He is good defensively at 2B but could play 3B as well. He could be a useful multi-positional starter.
