Jim Callis over at Baseball America thinks the Twins will go with Bryan Buxton at #2 overall, despite Terry Ryan's recent comments about needing pitching.

I'll tell you right now that while Buxton's physical tools are impressive, there are enough questions about his ability to hit that I would not want him at #2. I would much prefer Carlos Correa, who is a better current hitter than Buxton and can play shortstop to boot, which is the direction I am leaning for the Shadow Twins.

For the Community Mock Draft, Correa is under consideration for me as well, but the need for pitching is certainly a strong consideration and I like Gausman a great deal. Zimmer as well...I'm not big on Appel at #2.

In the supplemental first round I am strongly targeting Minnesota high school pitcher Mitch Brown out of Rochester for both the Community Mock and the Shadow Twins, and rumors are the real Twins are doing that too.
