Per Rotoworld: Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that the
Blue Jays have "engaged in dialogue" with the
Phillies regarding
Cole Hamels and
Shane Victorino.
So, what would it take for the Jays, or any other team, to land the two impending free agents? The Blue Jays do make for an interesting trade partner for the Phillies, given that Anthopoulos and Amaro have traded before (Halladay, Francisco) and the Blue Jays system is deep with talent that the Phillies system could use. Would the Phils try to reaquire D'Arnaud, Drabek or Gose? A high ceiling arm like Syndergaard or Cardona? Or would they target ready-to-go products like Hutchison or McGuire?
