Interesting opening day assignments

I'd love to crowdsource a summary of minor league assignments of note to open the year. I'll lead off with the Padres', but appreciate anything that jumped out at you all on various rosters:

Keyvius Sampson is bypassing the Cal League altogether and jumping straight to San Antonio. He's weighing in around 220 this spring and was impressing with the change up, but that's still a significant jump for a guy with 170 career innings. Joining Sampson in the Mission's rotation is Robbie Erlin, who I figured was ticketed to Tucson. The other interesting note on that roster is that Edinson Rincon is listed as an outfielder. Apparently that's because they couldn't list him as "other."

In Elsinore, Luis Domoromo and Everett Williams are flanking Rymer Liriano, but Donavan Tate isn't. He's going to have to earn his promotion by going at least three consecutive weeks (a) on the field and (b) with his head at the proper end of his digestive system.

It's not terribly surprising that Joe Ross, Michael Kelly and Johnny Barbato are throwing to Austin Hedges in Ft. Wayne. Perhaps more surprising/indicative of a much more aggressive development philosophy for the new leadership, is that Matt Wisler will be as well.

Biggest surprise not to make a roster out of camp: Duanel Jones.
