What do you guys think of this hypothetical trade package for Giancarlo Stanton?
MIA - Matt Barnes, Xander Bogarts, Bryce Brentz, Ryan Lavarnway, Sean Coyle, Rubby DeLa Rosa, Clay Mortensen, and Juan Carlos Linares
BOS - Giancarlo Stanton, Ricky Nolasco
I did hear that the Marlins would want three prospects in exchange for Stanton. Even considering other clubs, I doubt many clubs would aside from Boston would be able to give up this kind of minor league talent and depth without diminishing the future of the team. Last time someone suggested Seattle or Texas would be able to give up more. However, if they were to give up more than this, their club would not be able to remain at a competitive level. Say what you want about prospect status, but even though there are no top 10 mlb prospects these are some pretty good players, especially the top 3.
