Community top rookies for future peformance number 8

It looked for a while like we were headed for our first run off, and the percentage of the vote for the winner this round is low enough to leave at least a bit of doubt whether he would beat our second or third finishers this round in a head to head poll. Still, Andrelton Simmons wins a narrow victory, with 27% of the vote, beating out Yamani Grandal 19%, Matt Harvey 19%, Jarrod Parker 15%, Jesus Montero 8%, Lance Lynn 4%, Anthony Gose 4%, and Todd Frazier (write in) 4%.

1. Mike Trout Outfielder Los Angeles Angels (83%)

2. Bryce Harper Outfielder Washington Nationals (100%)

3. Manny Machado Infielder Baltimore Orioles (47%)

4. Matt Moore, Pitcher, Tampa Bay Rays (45%)

5. Yu Darvish, Pitcher Texas Rangers (48%)

6. Yoenis Cespedes, Outfielder Oakland A's (50%)

7. Andrelton Simmons, shortstop, Atlanta Braves (27%)

With the vote so spread out last round I'm going to temporarily drop the two who didn't get any votes last round, Erasmo Ramirez and Will Middlebrooks, although you can still vote for them as a write in.

Temporarily dropped: Yonder Alonso 0% (round 6), Jean Segura 0% (round 6), Will Middlebrooks 0% (round 7), Erasmo Ramirez 0% (round 7)

I'm going to add Todd Frazier, who got a write in vote last round, Tom Milone and bring back Wade Miley this round.

At least one and maybe both of of Yonder Alonso and Jean Segura will get back on the ballot next round.. Ryan Cook, Kelvin Herrera, Drew Smyly, AJ Griffin, Chris Carter, Starling Marte and Brett Jackson, are among those I am looking at adding in the coming rounds. Please suggest more names, or your favorites among that group, below.

So, who do you think will have the best future performance among last year's rookies in the number 8 slot?
