Community top rookies for future performance, number 12

Although with a focus on future performance this poll is intended to ask a very different question than the just concluded rookie of the year voting, the top six in the Rookie of the year voting in the American League have already been tabbed. More of a mixed bag in the NL, although obviously we got #1 right away National League #2 Wade Miley still hasn't found much support.

After a couple of rounds in the penalty box for PED's we voted in Yasmani Grandal in the number 11 slot, with 44% of the vote, beating out Anthony Gose with 22%, and Todd Frazier, Devin Mesoraco, Yonder Alonso, Erasmo Ramirez, Tom Milone and Starling Marte (write in) each getting 6% of the vote.

1. Mike Trout Outfielder Los Angeles Angels (83%)

2. Bryce Harper Outfielder Washington Nationals (100%)

3. Manny Machado Infielder Baltimore Orioles (47%)

4. Matt Moore, Pitcher, Tampa Bay Rays (45%)

5. Yu Darvish, Pitcher Texas Rangers (48%)

6. Yoenis Cespedes, Outfielder Oakland A's (50%)

7. Andrelton Simmons, shortstop, Atlanta Braves (27%)

8. Matt Harvey, Pitcher New York Mets

9. Jarrod Parker, Pitcher Oakland A's (50%)

10. Jesus Montero, Catcher/dh Seattle Mariners (40%)

11, Yasmani Grandal, catcher, San Diego Padres (44%)

I'm going to temporarily drop Ryan Cook who didn't get any votes last round, but is still eligible as a write in.

Temporarily dropped: Wade Miley 0% round 9, Jean Segura 0% round 9, Will Middlebrooks 0% round 10, Starling Marte 0% round 10, AJ Griffin 0% (round 10), Ryan Cook 0% (round 11)

I'm going to add Starling Marte, Randall Delgago and Zack Cozart, and bring back Lance Lynn this round. Wade Miley will definitely be back next round.

In no particular order, Kelvin Herrera, Drew Smyly, Chris Carter, Mike Fieri, Lucas Harrell, Michael Gonzalez, Anthony Rizzo, Norichicka Aoki, David Cooper and and Brett Jackson, are among those I am looking at adding in the coming rounds. Please suggest more names, or your favorites among that group, below. Keep in mind though, that we are probably going to go out to around # 25 in this poll, and between those who have been voted in, those on the ballot, those who are temporarily dropped and the names listed immediately above we already have far more than 25 under consideration.

So, who do you think will have the best future performance among last year's rookies in the number 12 slot?
