For those of you who haven't done these in recent years, this is the first installment of the fifth annual community rookie ratings. In this series of polls, we rate players who lost their rookie elibility last year based on what we expect from them in the future.

In 2008, our number 1 rookie was Evan Longoria. In 2009 it was Matt Wieters. We went with Jason Heyward in 2010. In 2011 it was Brett Lawrie. Who will it be in 2012?

Voting will be by +1. While the usual policy will be to drop listed candidates for several rounds if they get less than 5% support, for obvious reasons that isn't going to be enforced the first two rounds. There will be room for write ins and for discussion. Assuming this goes as I expect, additional input regarding anyone I leave off this ballot that you are interested in voting for at #3 would be appreciated.
