Now, when the summary included "Mat Gamel" and "Ball bounced off his head" you naturally assume the worst. Happily though, this is the coolest highlight you will see from a AAA game this year. Hopefully Berman doesnt get his hands on this video, I almost fear the number of puns that he will make.

That's a phenomenal play
But an adequate center fielder would have gotten a better jump and not needed the acrobatics to catch it…. sometimes its better to be lucky than good

Gamel is the first baseman. Just gave me a chance to mock his fielding skills.
I like Gamel
using his glove to keep the laughter and whatever smartass comment he makes to the ump from being too obvious.
(And yes, there’s a joke in there about Gamel finally finding a good use for his glove…)

it is not the most amazing MILB play…great concentration though
