Best Middle Infield
I had a chance to go see the Keys a couple days ago, and it made me wonder if Machado/Schoop is the best current pairing in the minors. Machado is obviously, universally considered a top 10 prospect, but Johnathan Schoop is an up and comer who I think will burst his way into the top 50 range of most lists by the end of the season. He is only 19, is naturally a SS but play 2b, and, while having a rough adjustment to high A, outplayed Manny at low A Delmarva.
In this question I am not asking about system-wide, but simply, which minor league team has the top 2b/ss prospect combination at this time.

Best MI Combo
Of course, paring Machado with anyone would seem a strong combo. But if Seattle uses Kyle Seager at 2B (he is often seen as moving to 3B because he would be blocked at 2B by Dustin Ackley), we think the Mariners has a pretty strong pair: Alex Liddi (now playing SS, though he is kinda large for the position) and Kyle Seager (who is a 2B but has been playing all over the infield. Both those guy can hit some, and they are playing at AAA, not A-Ball.
Best MI Combo
And, yes, we realize Liddi isn’t likely to stay at SS.
Mariners
Liddi/Seager/Franklin/Ackley (prospect?)/Littlewood – Not sure who winds up at what position, but there should be a solid MI in there somewhere

Franklin's going to stick at short and Ackley's going to stick at second
Almost assuredly on both.
Liddi’s probably not a major league player. Not sure about Seager (I think he’s a starting 2B for somebody else, but he’s making me think he might work at third). Triunfel’s a much better prospect than Littlewood.
Here's hoping for good things from Brad Miller.

If you're going MIF recruits in a system the Rays are definitely up there.
HJL, Bex, Bortnick, and even some lower level guys or utility types in Querecuto, O’Malley, Fieguero, etc. that could make the big leagues.
Altuve has been playing a lot of 3B i have noticed

I doubt that is a long term plan
It’s because Jimmy Paredes had been playing second base for the Hooks and I think the Astros aren’t sure what they want to turn with him positionally. I view Altuve as the Astros’ 2B of the future and Paredes as a toolsy boom or bust guy with very little time left with which to “boom”.

If Paredes can make the transition to 3B his stock goes up being a switch hitter who
has the potential for power and better defense than what is currently in Houston. alstuve is already back playing second and tonight is the debut of one Kody “Ketchup” Hinze at AA Corpus Christi.
