My Bryce Harper and Drew Pomeranz game report

Went down to PA yesterday not knowing that Pomeranz was making his start until late in the day. I was happy about this as it would be a matchup between two top 30 prospects. Anyways, tried to get a Harper auto on a ball but no dice, no big deal but people were bitching. I noticed two things before the game, Harper had a teammate tell him to get his ass stretching, and he didn't stand with his team for the Anthem. As for the game, Harper is clearly pressing trying to get his 1st AA homer and was chasing everything. He was swinging way out of the zone high, and I think pitchers may have found a hole in his swing down and in as he had no clue against pitches last night. Harper made contact in his third AB and hit a bomb 399 dead center for an out, pulled that's a HR. My assessment is that, he reminds me a lot of Jay Bruce and I saw Bruce play in 2008 in AAA. As for Pomeranz, his velocity disappointed me, he sat at 88-90 which is okay for a lefty but not for a top 30 prospect. I also got a report that he was tipping his curveball. He did locate his fastball well except for one pitch which was crushed for a HR. He has a nice easy motion, that looks a lot like Cliff Lee. I see him as a good #3 starter or a better Tomlin. I got Pomeranz after the game on a ball and he was nice. I have video of Pomeranz vs. Harper but haven't uploaded it yet.
