Jose Fernandez vs taylor guerrieri

Taylor Guerrieri and Jose Fernandez seem to be two very similar prospects to me. Both throw mid to upper 90's/ with fernandez having what seems to be 3 above avg to plus pitches and 4th that is avg. Guerrieri seems to hav 2 plus pitches. My questions is which one do you take and why?

I understand fernandez is a year older, but i also understand Guerrieri has character concerns. Am I off base thinking they are about equal?

Guerrieri's change isn't as far along as Fernandez's

and Fernandez throws two breaking pitches, but really only the curveball is above average. I’ve heard its wipeout, but I thought I heard that about the slider too. The diamondscape report gave his pitches a 60 FB / 55 CU / 45 SL / 40/45 (sorry, forget) CHG. The high-effort delivery has people thinking bullpen though. I don’t like Guerrieri’s lack of a third pitch but the fact that Fernandez is a year older, seemingly maxed out physically, and has his high-effort delivery all make me feel like Guerrieri is the slightly better prospect.

That being said, Fernandez seems safer and as a draft prospect he might be preferred to Guerrieri due to sign-ability. Fernandez is speculated to sign for slot, and would have pretty much anywhere in the first round, while Guerrieri has some more leverage. If one is 2 or 3x more expensive than the other I feel they are close enough that it could color the judgment of the two.

Guerrieri

His still is a touch better today and his ceiling is a touch higher. Though it is nitpicking as they are really close. I think Guerrieri has #1 potential and Fernandez has a very very good #2 potential. I like Guerrieri’s build, FB and CB are going to be plus or better and the CH will be at least avg but probably a touch above that. His cutter has potential if he decides to stick with it. I see Fernandez as having a plus FB (but not as dynamic as Guerrieri) and either his SL or CB might be plus. His CH will be avg. So he has the potential to have a 4 pitch arsenal I just like Guerrieri’s stuff a touch more.
