See a catcher here
Gallagher isn’t a reach here, and there’s a lack of depth at the position in the system. Org has expressed a desire to add catching depth.

Okay
I’m at a conundrum… The Royals are all about the OF’s this draft.
I also know they’ll take a risk on a pitcher after pulling Melville and Dwyer….
So… I’m looking at some HS pitchers that I’ve heard they are linked too and your boy Purke…
Was there a pick in there?

I really wanted to go with a position guy but I odon’t have any that are knocking my socks off. I think they’ll go for the prep arm that they’ve followed rather than Purke who seems like he’ll go back to school and try to up his $ value. Also pass on Stilson even though it sounds like he’ll be ready by next year….
He was already selected

Reasoning....
The guy I wanted was gone. If you’ve watched us play we have NO pitching in the starting rotation. We have a few guys hurt and underperforming in the minors off our stud list…. no position guy is there that we want.
lowell
I can see it. Lowell is from Missouri and is an advanced guy who won’t need long in the minors.

lol…. Lamb on the shelf. Monty struggling. Dwyer struggling. Both will be fine. But…. need those arms coming through the system. With him and Bauer… we’ve got a solid #1 and a possible #3 (maybe higher).
However…. I do know the Royals LOVE their scouts in the Carolinas and their scout in NY. I could see them taking the Jerez kid in this spot.
You can never have enough starting pitching, that's for sure.

The $200 million doesn’t cover the lawsuit. The lawsuit is for $1 billion. If Sterling loses it, they’ll have to sell their entire stake. Luckily, MLB won’t have to step in because the new minority partner is a billionaire.

LOL
Well, if you want to take that tack then it would be 2011, right?

FYI
If Moore makes the majors, he will be the first quadruplet to do so. It’s hard to believe he’s as big as he is after having to share with 3 other siblings.

really wanted Burdi
that kid is good, his delivery is fixable, he’s got 3 usable pitches, hits 98 and is 6-foot-5. What’s not to love?
Flame on!
Don’t fret, he should kill in NYC and Boston with that dead-pull swing.
