No immediate details given on Franklin's health.  Reading the details of the accident contained in the story conjure up all kinds of horrid nightmare scenarios.  I just hope the kid is okay.  I'm reminded of the scene in Major League where a flying bat hits Eddie Harris in the back of the head.  And now I wonder if Nick might have stolen Jobu's rum.

Some details now:  The bat, belonging to fellow AA Jacksonville player and Mariner prospect Rich Poythress, has been put down for attacking a top 50 prospect.  The last words of the bat were reported to have been "well, at least I got to hit something".
