Derek Holland fantasy Q

I have a few guys coming off the DL and need to cut some roster space and I'm looking to do a two or three for one deal. All guys are players I'll drop if I have to but would rather try and get something out of them a few weeks before. What do you guys think about Derek Holland as a long term keeper?

I know coming up he was projected to be a #1/#2 type pitcher and I'm curious after a season and a half what you guys think of him now. Any advice would be really helpful, thanks. One guy I'm trading is Jemile Weeks FYI. Not sure I can hold onto him with Cano ahead of him on my roster but ideas on him would be great too.

Lackey, Bedard, Weeks and Headley

for

Holland.

Like I said, these are guys I'll drop eventually when I get David Wright, Heyward and Josh Johnson back. Also gives me the room to call up Bumgarner potentially.

I don't like that deal

As injury prone as he may be, I’d rather have Bedard. The odds he gets injured are pretty close to the odds that Holland fails to reach his #2 starter potential, though he’s pitched well as of late, and when healthy Bedard can be a legit ace. Find another pitcher to deal.

advice is not directed at someone as a command, which is exactly what you did

advice often begins with “you should” or “you might be better off”

I love Holland

I still think he has ace potential.

That said, thats too much to give up for him. Bedard has decent value at the moment, and, unless this is a very shallow league Weeks provides good value at a very weak position.
