- Justin overall line is as expected, but still struggles mightily against left handers, hitting just .212/.299/.370 off them, and .289/.372/.490 off right handers
- Cuts down on strikeouts, raises walks, raises power. Things are coming together for Smoak despite the platoon split
- Raises power, raises strikeouts. A bit disappointing after last years encouraging season
- Makes All Star team along with fellow teammates Dustin Ackley, Michael Pineda, Felix Hernandez, and Prince Fielder. Finishes 11th in MVP voting, just behind Mike Trout
- Makes second All Star team. Mariners win World Series. Smoak wins WSMVP
- Monster start with the Mariners, makes 3rd All Star team. Mariners realize they will not be able to agree to a long term contract and trade him to the Braves for #3 starter, Randall Delgado.
- Signs 4 year/ $46 million contract with Atlanta Braves
- Braves make playoffs. Lose in second round
- Braves win World Series with the help of Cy Young winner Julio Teheran and MVP Jason Heyward
- Very disappointing year. Everything is down
- Hamstring injury
- Traded to Orioles for one dimensional speedster, Anthony Gose
- Same reoccurring hamstring injury doesn't allow success
- Blue Jays sign Smoak for 1 year/ $6 million. Hamstring flares up early in the season, but has an overall successful season
- Signed by the Phillies for 1 year/ $4 million. Hamstring issues force Smoak to be a primary pinch hitter, facing all right handers, and does well.
- Reds sign Smoak for 1 year/$4 million, but has a terrible season as a pinch hitter
- Retires
