Extremely high ceiling, plus defender in center, potential 5 tool monster.

Yep, it's an issue
Luckily, he provides excellent defensive value and good speed, so he can be a valuable player if his bat doesn’t develop as needed. If both Arenado and Beltre are neutral defenders(which undersells Beltre by a good bit) at 1B and CF respectively, Arenado has to be ~15 runs better offensively to match Beltre’s value.

i respectively disagree
his bat has made minor developments and no team is just going to put him out there if he can hold his own with the bat. from what i have read, there is a much greater chance that he flames out than puts it all together. and you keep assuming that arenado can’t stay at 3rd — that is an open question among scouts. i will take arenado’s bat over a high risk guy any day.
That's cool
You see Arenado as a possibility to stick at 3B or with enough bat to be an above average 1B. I don’t.
I see Beltre as a plus defender in CF who doesn’t have to hit much to be a 3 WAR player, with the potential for much more. You don’t.
Time will tell.

Toolsy centerfielder with a good plate approach and good defensive skills. Decent numbers and I’m not too worried about the age considering that his overall skillset is very well-rounded, not many more skills need to develop. Good defensive centerfielders that are close to the majors are valuable, and when they have some five-tool offensive upside like Blackmon, it churns out a good prospect, better than any of the current options for me.
This is bizarre
. . .considering Ben Revere Engel Beltre are both good defensive CF’s, who are better hitters, and younger – oh, and close to the majors.
A cursory glance at Blackmon’s numbers, and his age, shows a “no prospect”, doesn’t it?
We all have our our favorites but, reason tells me that a 22 year old guy who had an OPS of .800 in the Cal League (in 2009), isn’t a viable major league prospect unless he is perhaps the greatest CF’r of all-time.
he had a nice season in the TL this year but, in general his numbers look inflated by playing in very nice hitters leagues the past coule of years. On the positive side, I like him about as much as Trayvon Robinson :)
