It is becoming pretty clear that football will most likely have a lengthy lockout. If this happens it will affect Jake Locker and his career choice. If the lockout becomes real, Locker will very likely come to baseball. Locker was drafted by the Angels in the 10th round of the 2009 draft and did actually sign a contract. That contract was a backup for Locker should his footbal career fail. That backup option is close to becoming Locker's #1 option. Ive heard many scouts say he could be just as good, if not better at baseball than football. Baseball also offer Locker more money and longevity than football would, but if there is not a lockout, he will most likely choose footbal if he is drafted high enough. He is pretty raw as a baseball talent, but with some time in the minors I think he could be as good as Trout. Yes, I think he has that much potential. John, what grade would you give him if he chose baseball, and where would he rank in the Angels top 20?
