“Ross Detwiler, the sixth overall pick of the 2007 draft, has altered his mechanics, throwing more in line rather than bringing his front leg over his back leg during his delivery. The change is noticeable, and Nationals officials agree that it's made a significant difference in his pitches. One of them called Detwiler, "the best guy out here wearing a uniform."
This will be Detwiler's first real shot at making the team. He is fully recovered from surgery and seems to be the talk of Nats camp right now. I have faith in the guy because he hasnt really gotten his shot due to injuries. If he can stay healthy and improve his command, I believe he could become the Nats ace until Strasburg comes back. He seems to still have the great stuff that he had out of college, so it is not impossible for him to break out. What do you guys think? Does he have a breakout year and becomes a fixture in the rotation, or does he continue to struggle and never sticks in the majors?
