OT: Dynasty League Needs Teams
http://www.flb-northwest.com/
MLB dynasty league in its 16th year is expanding and needs a couple new managers to fill up empty or orphaned teams.
FLB Northwest uses a very unique scoring system invented by its founder - as opposed to being a traditional roto league using counting stats to determine points for individual categories, teams play games against themselves throughout the course of the year.
Each club has to assemble up to a 40-man major league roster (with 8-man minor league roster, which is new this year) comprised of 25 active players and up to 15 reserve players. Assemble a nine-man lineup and its batting order, a four-person bench, a 5-man rotation and a bullpen made of a closer and six other relievers.
FLB Northwest is divided into an AL-only and NL-only league, and uses yearly contracts for its players. Teams are allowed so many restricted free agent signings each offseason (player contracts can last as long as 3 years) and then all other unsigned free agents are included in the player pool where any team in that player's league can bid for his services.
As one of the two managers to play in this league since its inception, I must say that the league's scoring system (which would take too much time to adequately explain in this post) while unorthodox is very fun and intuitive.
