Stats
choice got more love in the earlier rounds actually. Perhaps he fell off peoples’ radars. Here are some stats:
Apr to June 15: .245 AVG, 33% K rate
June 15 to end of year: .360 AVG, 22% K rate
Hit 30 total bombs, slugged .542, wOBA of .396, and wRC+ of 130
Pretty good year. And his AFL was predictably better. But most importantly, the K rate was way down again. Exciting for a CF.
I really like him
4th in line, and #26 for me.

Based on what people told me in the previous few polls
The current tester order (at least near the front of the line) is who people indicated they liked best. But I already added 4 guys since asking for people’s top remaining testers. So I think this is a good time to re-evaluate. I’m going to look back at the previous polls as well, but please give me your top few (3-5 players) from the current tester pool, or even outside the pool if I’ve failed to list someone you like a lot.

Gary Sanchez
I’m wondering how others are evaluating him. Real strikeout issues continue, although he’s really young for the Sally. A bigger hazard for me is the report (via Mike Newman) that he’s horrible defensively (20 on the 20-80 scale), and that this is compounded by a poor attitude. It seems like there’s a strong risk of Sanchez having the same defensive & positional value as another young Yankees “catcher”.
He’s young enough to solve these issues, but I’m curious why others are inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt.
The attitude issues were apparently resolved in the second half of the season
They could pop up, but he is still a young kid, so I try not to weigh that too much. His K-rate is a concern, but I heard it got better the second half of the season as well. Defensively, he was getting reports of being more advanced than Montero at the same age last year, and has better CS% then Montero, but more errors and passed balls. Right now, I think you keep trying to improve him at C, but he has the bat to be moved off if necessary.

Ok
It looks pretty apparent that we are going to need to run off Josh Bell and Anthony Gose. Sadly, they have pulled away from George Springer, who I like better than both, but oh well. It is pretty interesting that in poll 25, Gose lost a runoff to Singleton, then Gose lost some favor, and in poll 26, Bell lost a runoff to Olt. It makes sense that these two recent runoff losers should battle each other now.

I’m setting up the runoff.
