Shoot, I voted Marte in the regular poll but, I just changed my mind. Marte’s lack of plate discipline may always limit him and, he isn’t young, relatively speaking. Casty has 4 years of developoment to figure things out and, is starting from a good point.

(Of course had you voted for him there, it would have been 17-12 rather than 16-13 and there probably wouldn;t have been a runoff!)
Ha
I if I had been as uncertain now as, I was as uncertain then :)

Doesn't
have a lack of plate discipline. I’ll continue to preach that

This is too low. He’s gonna be elite.

Really?
I like Matt Davidson better than Nick Castellanos. More raw power & a better chance to stay at 3b to me.
If you’re correct, I’m missing the boat (big time) on the Detroit prospect.
If
. Davidson had a better chance to stick at 3b, would he have played 65 games at 1b last year? I have heard few good things about Davidson over there but, maybe you have heard something I haven’t.?

Yeah
Seems like split opinion, but either way, a weird developmental move to have him split time there with Borchering. You’d think they would have tried to at least stagger their organizational level, so one started out in A+ ball and the other in A ball, and kept it that way for at least half the year, then maybe moved the other one up if it seemed appropriate and split time for half a season or less. Then repeat. But now that Borchering has been moved to the OF, we should get a chance to see what Davidson can really do. He’ll turn 21 this March, and should start the year in AA.

can castellanos
break the 8 player streak of outfielders and catchers? it is possible it could get extended even further if marte wins, with rosario and liriano getting a decent amount of votes in recent polls.

I hope
not :P
I’m gonna vote for Marte cause I’m on the bandwagon, but it was actually tough. Big fan of Castellanos.

Looks
like Castellanos will. Interesting to see if Marte will win next or if he will get passed as Castellanos voters throw their support elsewhere.

I think your boy
. is getting on next, don’t worry. He got a lot of support the past two votes and, is a similar player to Martin and, Brown. It’ll be really interesting to see how this little trio of 23-year old, centerfielders shakes out this year – Brown, Martin and, Marte, They will likeley all see the big leagues I’d think.
