Anthony Ranaudo
at midseason was ranked 37 overall by BA. Yet he isn’t even a tester for the 27th overall PITCHING prospect here. Give me a break.
Because clearly the midseason list couldn't have been wrong
And there is absolutely no way he could fall or anything on the coming list from BA.
i really find it funny
when people make arguments like this
it’s like they think that a strong counterargument is to merely drastically shift to the other side, and sarcastically make fun of previous comments

How do you make a counterargument to someone using old information?
The BA Ranaudo ranking was already an outlier and its entirely probable that we will see him fall significantly in their upcoming list. We know that he only checked in #14 on the Carolina League list, and only 3 of the 6 pitchers that ranked ahead of him have cracked this list so far (and I don’t hear people calling for Spruill and Solis anytime soon).
see
wasn’t this a lot more productive?

they said he would've ranked 5th in the Sally had he qualified though
that means he’s ahead of Christian Yelich and Jesse Biddle. They say they take production into consideration more than their usual rankings in the league top 20’s.
Biddle is still nowhere near the list either
I’m not saying there is no case for Ranaudo at this point, but there’s no reason to act like its ridiculous that he isn’t getting support, especially when the sole basis of your argument is one midseason ranking that is almost certain to change this offseason. Anyway, all of this is beside the point, because we’re not trying to predict what other peoples’ lists will look like. If you want to argue for Ranuado, do it on his own merits, not on where some other person ranked him.
Sure, I'll add him as a tester
I’m pretty sure this is the first time his name has been brought up. Give me a break.

I wasn't complaining to you
nobody mentioned him, not your fault. I was complaining that it was ridiculous nobody mentioned him.
How about
. we quit making equally ridiculous arguments for every, single Boston Red Sox prospect?? Sorry, it needed to be said.
By all means, feel free to go ahead and do it but, I’ll feel free to not take any of it seriously.
" Kenny G has a Christmas album out this year. Hey, happy birthday, Jesus! Hope you like crap! " - Norm MacDonald
Ranaudo was a guy that
had far too high of expectations for. He was coming off a major elbow injury, and was clearly wearing down at points this season.
It’s not surprising that he’s lost some of his luster. He’s still a very talented pitcher, and young enough that it wouldn’t shock me to see him shoot up the boards if he can remain healthy and durable…
I like the guy and think he could be a huge asset, but people should have been more realistic about his path to the majors going into 2011.

With 26.8% of the vote and a 5 vote lead, Monty wins this one. Just imagine how many votes he would have got if he was listed 1st on the poll!!!!
