This is where ...
… I think Arenado makes his move. While I disagree with (and am somewhat surprised by) the last vote, Bundy has that upside of a true #1 even though he is probably 4-5 years away while Hultzen is closer but upside is limited. Curious to see how the community views a #2-3 starter upside guy against a potential multiple allstar at the hot corner.
Tough call...
I think. I think you’re right in that up until now Hultzen has been viewed as having 2/3 starter upside w a strong likelihood of achieving. Arenado’s upside might be somewhat above that, altho I’m not sure he’s as likely to reach it. But Hultzen’s AFL performance may have raised his upside some. Reportedly, scouts were very impressed. Of course, Arenado was very impressive, too, as he was the MVP, at least as rated by MLB. Still a close call I think, but I went w Hultzen.
I agree that this probably where Arenado gets in
IMO this is a moderate upside, safer 3B vs. a moderate upside, safer SP. I am taking the hitter in this case.
I feel similarly
but am choosing the pitcher. Among other things, no chance Hultzen gets moved to 1B.
