#1 sim league pick -2011 draft

I have the first overall pick in my league and I am pretty sure I am going with Bauer. Mostly because I am very well set in my infield and have a greater need for pitching. If you could use a bat I would go Rendon, if you have a greater need in your rotation I would go with one of the 3 pitchers. I went with Bauer because I think he is closest to the bigs and maybe I am wrong but think he will have the best career of the crop. So, probably not a very good answer for you but my vote is Bauer (unless you have a significant need for a bat).

But all things being equal, I’d take Rendon.

Rendon is the only hitter (so he’s the rarity in the top prospects), he plays a premium position (either 3B or 2B) and hitters tend to be more stable developmentally than pitchers. I’d go with Rendon.

unless you have a major need for SP, then i’d go bauer

Rendon is a great hitting prospect, I’d say he’s got great upside and is safest bet to be an impact player in MLB. With the top pick u want a sure thing and I think Rendon is the closest thing in this class.
